Wadi Sofia: Weekend

In Wadi Sofia, weekend starts from Friday until Saturday. Because I have no class in Thursday,
I stay in the resource room to study the preparation for teaching such as lesson plan and so on. I also observe our friends teaching on different classes. I have another job, it is making the speech for the celebration of independence day next Sunday.

At the night we go out to buy Roti Tempayan. It cost only RM 1. If you buy with the beef curry sauce which  costs RM 2, it will be RM 3. The taste of the sauce is same with the sauce for Roti Canai. But, Roti Canai is made with egg while Roti Tempayan has no filling. I prefer Roti Canai than Roti Tempayan. But still, both of them is delicious hehe.

We have a vacation today. Start from Pengkalan Kubor, then pantai Sri Tujoh, the next is KB Mall and then Pasar Cik Ye. 

We should just bought chocolate in Pengkalan Kubor. Because other things except the chocolate has higher price than those in Indonesia. The most lovely chocolate I bought in Pengkalan Kubor is Ferrero Rochero and Hershey’s. I supposed to bought the Beryl’s one. Since we've been planning to go to The Chocolate Factory in Kula Lumpur which produces Beryl’s, I cancel it. 

The next is Pantai Sri Tujoh. It is the famous beach in Kelantan. I'm playing in then sand of the beach, drinking Lychee Ice, and enjoying the sea breeze while eating the shells.

After that we go to KB Mall. I use this chance to take our money from ATM. At first it was a failure although there are master card and cirrus written on the board. Then I try use the Bank Simpanan Negara and I success take my money. In KB Mall there are such things like Matahari or Hypermart in Indonesia. The Pacific is a KB Mall’s version of Hypermart and Fashion Outlet Store (F.O.S) is that of Matahari. I bought a very cute foldable umbrella in Guardian since I have no one in Surabaya. It is the red angry bird umbrella and it costs RM 8. Cheap ya, hehe. Then I’m falling in love with the lime top in F.O.S and I crazily bought it in RM 49. Kyaa. So far, KB Mall is quite good if the location of the surau is not suck. I spent half an hour just for struggling look for surau’s location that actually is out of the mall. The direction board is also can not be trusted. Sigh. 

Then we spent the rest of the day in Pasar Cik Yen just for dinner. I’ve gone mad to go around this market since the price is so so so cheap then that in Pengkalan Kubor. Grrrrrr. In this market I bought nasi with ceker ayam, it is RM 3. So far this one day vacation is fun enough. But not that awesome.

Happy Independence Day, Malaysia
In this peaceful free day I start with running around the campus and enjoy the strong wifi since there are no people use it. I also bake my bread myself. I think that it is a very good morning to start a good free day hehe. 

Making SImple Kastengel

I got this recipe from my auntie. Very simple, and this is the most delicious cookies I've ever made :9 Gak pernah bisa doyan pake banget ama kastengel selain yang aku buat sendiri kekeke. The secret is the power of milk powder, rum butter, and the keju edam. For best texture, mix all the ingredients with two knives. Simple, right? Then you will get very "cheesy" yummy kastengel. Nyam  nyamm nyammm

 

here is the recipe 

 1/2 kg terigu

2 ons rum butter

1,5 onsmargarin

240 gram keju cheddar, parut

100 gram keju edam, parut

2 kuning telur

1 putih telur

2 sdm susu bubuk

2 sdm tepung maizena

campur semua bahan sampai kalis, lalu CETAK! Panggang sampai mateng. Jadinya, kastengel yang kejuuuu banget. Enak pokoknya hahaha.

Rumah Makan khas Jawa - Review

Kemaren hari Jumat maen ke Malang, kabur dari cuaca panas Surabaya yang nggak nyantai blas. Di malang mendekam di rumah kos adek ku, her name is Nina. I spent my day dengan malas-malasan dan super guling-guling. Hari minggunya kita jenguk si Faqi ma Hani di Batu. Bapak ama ibu juga dateng dari Pare. So we had a high quality family time yeay. Jadinya kemaren kita main main ke Selecta, liat-liat Taman Bunga. Aku sama Hani pengen banget flying fox, tapi kita berdua make rok, hmmm. Yaudah nggak jadi flying fox deh. 

Lunch, kita memutuskan keluar Selecta dan makan di Rumah Makan khas Jawa, tempat makan favorit kita tiap lagi maen di Malang. Ada di jalan Diponegoro. Aku inget banget terakhir kali ke sana waktu masih SD, dan sekarang ke sini lagi rasanya uda familiar dan rumah makan ini terkesan ramah.

Dari luar emang biasa, tapi begitu masuk kita disambut interior khas jawa yang hangat, bikin nyaman kalo makan di dalem. Ada yang lesehan dan ada yang kursi meja gitu. Furniture mostly ada aksen bambu dan di sana sini dekorasinya adalah wayang. Menunya khas Jawa sekali, menu sehari-hari kalo aku bilang hehe. Menut utamanya ada ayam, buntut, dan lalapan dengan berbagai minuman jawa juga seperti es teh (hehehe, jawa kan?), bandrek, susu soda, es buah, sampe es dawet. Aku kemaren order sup buntu, high recommended ini hehe. Si Hani order Ayam Goreng , Faqi order Krengsengan Daging, dan si Nina order Semur Lidah (ini juga enak loh hehe). Porsi di sini pun mancap sekali, wareg pol pokok e. Buat yang nggak mau makan kebanyakan bisa kurangi porsi bisa bilang langsung ke mbak yang menerima order atau sekalian aja nggak usah pesen nasi. Buat yang fine fine aja dengan porsi yang bikin wareg bisa minta tambah nasi lagi hahaha.

Suasana di sini menyenangkan. Berasa pulang ke rumah. I can say that it’s my family’s favorite  restaurant, Rumah Makan khas Jawa.

Handmade Flannel Flower Necklace

Hi everybody.

Before having a class in the college, i must spent my 2 months free day in home without doing nothing. And it is absolutely bored day ever.

Therefore, i think it must be fun if i make something i love. Like accesoris for a fashionable day. :D (it is an good idea, isn't it ?)

Nowadays, the earth needs our contribution to keep it green. So, i won't buy new material for my neclace. But, i will make it by recycling every thing that i will find in my house. :) Beside it can decrease money costing, i thing i help keeping our earth green too :D

Here the things i've found in my house.

I have many flannel cloth in home for my daughter's craft. I will use it as basic material for the pendant. And i will use my old name tag as the neclace chain.

All you need to make the neclace are the material's above, scissor, and glue gun.

Firstly choose your favorite colors of the flannel cloth. Mix and mach it as you want.

After that, cut the flannel cloth with this size : 1x8 cm.

Make 6 cuts for each flower. 5 for the flower crown, and the last for the pod. You can combine two colors for it cut.

Roll the cut of cloth, glue it. Do these steps to all the cuts. Than make all the cuts around like a flower, glue them.

Now, you have one flower for your neclace. :)

It can more beautiful if you make more flowers.

If your color already made, glue them all. And after that glue the name tag neclace as the chain behind the flowers flanner cloth.

See ? You have a new neclace now. :)
